Creed is an Anglo-French multi-national niche perfume house, based in Paris, currently owned. As always, If you’ve never smelled this one before, buy a sample before splurging. While I don’t think a 100ml bottle is worth $425, one that is closer to $300 from a trusted seller *like this one (ebay) is, in my opinion well worth it. The thing which pushes it into the“overhyped” court is the price. It smells great, it has good performance. The longevity and versatility push this one towards greatness. You won’t find too many guys wearing this one around town despite the fact that it’s well known among anyone who has the least amount of interest in fragrances so, naturally, such a nice smelling and rare scent will grab many compliments. It’s a very versatile fragrance suitable for any season and occasion. On my skin, I get about 8-9 hours which is very good longevity. Anyone within arms reach of you will pick up the scent but not beyond that. Overall, it’s a well-crafted, deep unique smelling scent. In layman’s terms: A pineapple berry marmalade roasting in a wood smoker. Then, there’s birch and a recognizable musk to give it a smoky, masculine scent. There’s a lot going on: there’s apple, pineapple, black currant. As it fades the smoky scent becomes more and more prominent. As soon as you spray it on your skin, the first thing that stands out is a citrusy pineapple aroma with a little smoky hint. Make no mistake: This is a unique scent and anyone who has smelled it recognizes immediately. Top notes are Pineapple, Bergamot, Black Currant and Apple middle notes are Birch, Patchouli, Moroccan Jasmine and Rose base notes are Musk, oak. Aventus was created by Jean-Christophe Herault and Erwin Creed.
Aventus by Creed is a Chypre Fruity fragrance for men. But, the sprayer is excellent with a nice clicky spraying sound. Perfume rating 4.39 out of 5 with 13,624 votes. However, one issue I’ve had is that after prolonged use, the cap is prone to fitting loosely on the bottle. The cap is lightweight plastic and embroidered with the Creed crown crest. But, if you know where to look, you can find it for much much cheaper without being scammed on the many fakes out there. Speaking of big bucks, this fragrance comes in at a premium and the continued rise in demand results in regular price increases from Creed.
